John Bennett

Chief Executive Officer
John leads Permanent Group’s day-to-day operations and long-term strategy. Prior to joining Permanent in 2021, John was SVP & GM at LogMeIn where he led the $450M Identity and Access Management business unit, responsible for the LastPass, LogMeIn Pro, GoToMyPC, and LogMeIn Central products. He has held executive leadership roles at Citrix, Vapps (acquired by Citrix), Ace*Comm, Sentori, CMGi and Nascent Technologies (acquired by CMGi). He holds a BA from Mary Washington University in Economics.

Mark Rothert

Chief Operating Officer
Mark develops and implements Permanent Group’s value-creation playbook and works with founders to drive portfolio-wide KPIs. Prior to joining the company in 2021, Mark was a Principal with Technology Crossover Ventures working to develop and deliver on-value creation plans. Prior to TCV, Mark spent over five years as President of MessageMedia, a private equity backed B2B software company. Mark earned JD and MBA degrees from Columbia University and a BA from Wheaton College.

Jeffrey Schwimer

Vice President of M&A
Jeffrey leads the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team at Permanent Group. He is passionate about building relationships and partnering with entrepreneurs and has spent his career as a software-focused investor, operator, and advisor. Prior to Permanent, Jeffrey was an investor at JMI Equity, a San Diego based Growth Equity fund, and worked on the Operations and Strategy team at the vertical software business automotiveMastermind. Jeffrey holds a BA from Stanford University in Economics.

Jon Borthwick

Vice President of Product Marketing
Jon heads Product Marketing strategy for Permanent Group’s portfolio businesses, partnering with founders on aligning subscription-business models with various stages of growth, pricing, and packaging optimization, and accelerating time-to-value for customers. He joined the company in 2021. Previously, Jon was VP Global Operations & Strategy at LogMeIn, responsible for accelerating growth and delivering outsized returns across 15 product lines through go-to-market optimizations. John earned a finance degree at the University of West Florida.
